Otago Southland Show Jumping Champs
Our Otago Southland Show jumping team (Grace Mannerswood, Charles Miller Brown , Anna Nesbit, Olivia Robertson, Ellie Nesbit and Lisa Milliken) started with a super first round and we were in the lead! A few rails here and there meant that we were. In 4th place over night and then a few more rails meant we ended up in 7th place overall. A great effort and a fun sunny weekend.

Last year after the success at Springston Trophy the club went on to take two teams to the South Island Pony Club Show Jumping Championships in Rangiora in January 2008 where 33 teams from all over the South Island competed.
After a disastrous first day the Gold team pulled up from 13th to place 6th overall, which we felt was a very creditable result.
The Blue team ended up 24th. We were honored as a club to win the Horse Management Trophy, an award that is presented to the team that takes the best care of their horses and ponies (stabling, feeding, cleanliness and general turnout ) as well as the team which shows team spirit and appreciation for the efforts of the other teams.
We were particularly thrilled to win this trophy. Generally it is awarded to a team, however, we won it as a club and both teams were commended for their cooperation, team spirit, and horsemanship.
